Roman Road

First day on the trail.

When we were approaching the town of Donnas, we came upon this arch, column, etc. The pillar has Roman numerals and is a distance marker. When we got into the town we found out it is indeed part of the Roman Road and this part of the road was cut into the rock and constructed in 23 BC. The road continues right through the town (not like this section) and a large Roman bridge still crosses the river in town.
